We are seeking candidates for a Clinical Pharmacist opportunity for 326 beds for profit hospital located in Laredo TX.
Hourly rate 58 to 75 an hour
Sign on and relocation are available.
The department is a secure unit in the main campus of Laredo Medical Center. This is a busy department that sometimes requires flexibility in scheduling. Employees report directly to the Director of Pharmacy. The Hospital is in sunny Laredo, Texas, just 150 miles south of historic San Antonio. Description
Conducts drug utilization review studies. Consults with medical practitioners on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Typically reports to a manager or supervisor. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Some staffing is expected.
Bachelor’s degree required, Pharm D preferred.
Must be a registered pharmacist with clinical experience.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.'
In general, it is Monday through Friday job, with a Saturday rotation once a month.
The director wants someone with an infectious disease or similar residency, PharmD preferred with a direct patient care experience.
