Join our team! Client Administrative team is now hiring a full-time Director of Case Management to work at 326 bed acute care hospital. The Director is responsible for oversight of all case management positions. This position report directly to the Chief Medical Officer. The Hospital is in sunny Laredo, Texas, just 150 miles south of historic San Antonio. Sign-on and relocation bonuses are available for eligible applicants! Oversees a staff of case managers responsible for patient care coordination. Develops and implements case management programs, including utilization review, intake or discharge planning, and managed care contracting or negotiation. Evaluates patient care data to ensure that care is provided in accordance with clinical guidelines and organizational standards. Seeks treatments that balance clinical and financial concerns with the family's needs and the patient's quality of life. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to top management. Requires certification as a registered nurse with at least 5 years of clinical experience. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Applicants Job Requirements Include:
•Graduate of an accredited RN program.
•Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
OR- A.D.N. Degree combined with 7-10 or more years of acute care nursing experience.
•Minimum 5 years of acute care clinical experience and minimum of 3 years Clinical Case Management/Utilization review experience (preferred).
•Ability to interact with a wide variety of individuals and handle several complex situations simultaneously.
•Theoretical knowledge of the nursing process, case management and continuity of care.
•Advanced assessment and teaching skills
•Ability to exercise supervisory skills and demonstrate leadership, creativity, integrity and initiative.
•Responsible for Development and departmental budget.
•Attention to detail and follow-up.
•Speaks and reads English fluently
•2 Letters of Recommendation
•Licensed as a R.N. by the Texas State Board of Registered Nurse Examiners.
•Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
