Sr. Ultrasound Sonographer

Compensation

Base Salary - USD $157,602 to $195,917

Ideal Candidate

Strong 2+ years OB ultrasound exp in acute care hospital setting and outpatient setting. Must have AB and OB/GYN registries, come from a CAAHEP accredited diagnostic medical imaging program.

 

Must rotate and cover SF campus when needed (SF Parnassus-Adult Hospital, SF Mission Bay- Pediatric/cancer center, SF Montgomery Clinic, SF Bayfront Ambulatory OP center. Work 8 hour days and rotate on weekends, take call once training has been completed.

Perform diagnostic sonograms to demonstrate anatomy and pathology for interpretation:

 

Obtain appropriate patient clinical information from requesting physician and/or service prior to performing exam.

Prepare patient for imaging.

Prepare room and equipment prior to imaging and after completion of exam.

Demonstrate appropriate self-critique of exams to include ability to recognize sub-optimal techniques and equipment malfunctions.

Meet physical requirements to perform all aspects of diagnostic sonography studies in the inpatient as well as outpatient settings, including but not limited to: performing portable exams, transferring and transporting gurney and wheelchair

Maintain RDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria.

 

These positions must be flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.

 

Graduate of a formal accredited ultrasound training program in an approved school

Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holidays and on-call shifts. This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations and variable shifts per department needs.

Requires ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and OB/Gyn specialties at minimum.

 

BLS -  Basic Life Support.

Requires (2-5) years UCSF experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and or equivalent experience in a similar Ultrasound department at OR New hires who meet criteria of equivalent experience and credentials held must also have equivalent Senior Sonographer skills; the Senior Diagnostic Medical Sonographer title may be granted at the discretion of the Section Chief and Section Supervisor.

Maintain ARDMS credential(s) according to the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography's criteria

 

 

Require ARDMS in Abdominal and OB/GYN Sonography.

Requires previous OB ultrasound experience

BLS Certification

Graduated from a CAHEEP accredited ultrasound program?

Requires (2-5) years’ experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, and or equivalent exp

Must be open to cover for weekends/holidays if needed

Have any pediatrics experience?

Have hospital experience?

Ultrasound experience in? OB exp, thyroid, transplant kidney liver.
