Salary: USD $185,900 – $281,000 / yr

Eligible for sign-on bonus of 10% of base salary
Eligible for annual bonus up to 10 % of base
Eligible for annual merit increase
Manages 24-hour departments providing patient care services. Ensures staff provide high quality, accessible, cost effective care, and patient focused services to members across the continuum, which comply with local, state, and federal requirements. Develops and maintains clinical standards of care and practice; responsible for all resource budgeting, selection and development.

Experience
Minimum four (4) years of clinical nursing experience related to clinical area of specialization as required by department, including four (4) years of management, supervisory or leadership* experience.
Education
Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree in nursing, or Masters Degree in Nursing earned through a direct entry MSN program.
License, Certification, Registration
Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire
Basic Life Support
Preferred Qualifications:
Two (2) years of management experience preferred
One (1) year of Magnet/shared governance experience preferred
One (1) year of managing in a bargaining environment preferred
Masters degree preferred.
What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements of this position?
MUST HAVE CURRENT CA RN LICENSE (not temporary)
Must have BSN or higher
Must have experience in the last 5 years as an OR RN (must have inpatient OR experience, not just ambulatory surgery)
Must have 3-5 years as an Assistant Nurse Manager or four years exp as Dept. manager.
What are the nice-to-have skills?
Prefer advanced education at MSN or MHA or MBA level and/or CNOR designation
Experience with scheduling teams helpful
Strong preference for experience in union environment
Must be calm under pressure, strong communicator, able to train newer nurses
