Labor & Delivery RN Manager-

Job Description

This is a full-time Nurse (RN) Manager of Women's Services responsible for the Labor & Delivery, Postpartum departments. Qualified candidates much have a valid RN License and experience in Labor and Delivery Nursing.

150 bed Hospital

5 bed L&D Triage

8 Bed L&D

21 Bed OB

5 bed Level 2 Nursery

55 total FTEs

 

The manager will be over everything except Nursery and will report directly to the Director of Women's Services. The position is a standard, salaried Manager position working M-F, typical business hours but could require some evenings or weekends on occasion. Ideal candidates must have experience as an RN in L&D within the last 5 years and recent Manager or Supervisory experience in healthcare, preferably in women's health.

Job Summary

 

The Manager, Women's Services oversees the daily operations of the Women's Services department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This role provides leadership in nursing practice, staff development, financial management, and quality improvement. The Manager collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient satisfaction, employee engagement, and operational efficiency, aligning departmental performance with organizational goals.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required or
  • Four (4) plus years of direct experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • 2-4 years of experience in closely related field with bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-4 years of previous leadership experience preferred

 

Licenses and Certifications

  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
  • BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required
  • Health ServicesACLS issued by American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation issued by American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required or
  • NALS - Neonatal Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required
