Salary for Director of Pharmacy is 200k-$215k + sign-on + relocation

For Assistant Director of Pharmacy Salary is up to $185 l

DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY/ ASS'T DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY

What You Will Do

 

  • Develops, enforces, and maintains policies and procedures that promote cost-effective, appropriate, and safe drug use.
  • Evaluates operations on an ongoing basis using principles of continuous process improvement.
  • Develops, implements, checks, and retools action plans to address variances and improve efficiency.
  • Supervises pharmacy personnel.
  • Develops job descriptions, performance standards, and performance goals.
  • Evaluates and counsels staff on their performance.
  • Prepares work schedules and monitors workload statistics. Maintains an appropriate staffing level.
  • Provides for the educational needs of the pharmacy staff.
  • Acts as a positive role model, mentor, and preceptor.
  • Promotes individual professional growth.
  • Communicates with staff and promotes staff ownership in problem-solving and participation in operational decision-making.
  • Prepares a pharmacy budget annually.
  • Reviews monthly financial statistics and plans expenditures within budget guidelines.
  • Monitors and justifies all expenses exceeding budgeted targets.
  • Ensures preparation and submission of patient charges and financial reports to administration in accordance with hospital policy.

 

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree required.
  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the State of Florida.
  • 3 years of management experience.
  • 3-5 years of hospital pharmacy management experience is required for DOP. 1-2 years of hospital management experience for ADOP.
