We are in search of a Labor & Delivery RN (FT/Nights) – for a Houston Hospital.
Reports To Clinical Manager
Salary range $80,000.00 to $110,000.00
About the Dept:
Level 4 Maternal Designated Facility
12 labor beds, 19 antepartum beds, 4 swing beds
Approximately 400-450 deliveries a month

Qualifications must-Haves
Must have an active RN Texas License, or active multi-state compact RN license, clear of stipulations or disciplinary actions.
Must have BSN
Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience in an acute care setting that is Labor and Delivery
Must have an updated resume - job history dates and units worked in must be accurate

Must be honest about unit, shift, and location they are interested in working - if someone is unhappy with nights but they take it because "it's a job" this commonly shows up in a hiring leader interview, and we receive feedback to not move forward with an offer.
Extended women services RN experience is a plus
Must be able to communicate efficiently
Job Summary
Collaborates with the physician and healthcare team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process; provides professional nursing care to patients, including conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records. MHHS hires RNs based on years of experience groupings (i.e. newly licensed RN [working under the supervision of RN clinical preceptor], less than 1 year, 1-3 years, 3 to 10 and 10+).
