    Our client Medical Group located in Seattle WA is looking for a Vascular Technologist (1.0 FTE, Day Shift) to work for the Vascular Surgery department in Seattle, WA.

    The Vascular Tech is responsible for performing basic history and physical pre-exam, as well as non-invasive exam and evaluation at a technical level in accordance with department protocols and applicable regulatory requirements. An incumbent assumes responsibility for the safe, efficient and proper operation of ultrasound equipment.

    In this position you will:

    Responsible for reviewing and updating protocols.

    Coordinates technical training for Vascular Technologists.

    Responsible for maintaining accreditation of the lab(s).

    Responsible for maintaining proper working condition for all ultrasound equipment in the lab(s).

    Implements changes in procedures, policies and quality improvement.

    Performs a basic history and physical prior to the patient’s non-invasive evaluation, to ensure there is a proper indication to perform any exam.

    Performs Vascular Studies including but not limited to:

    • Carotid Scans
    • Venous Scans
    • Abdominal Scans
    • Arterial Doppler's
    • Graft/Stent Scans
    • Ultrasound Guided Biopsies
    • Prepares results to review with physicians.

    Performs same day and emergent add-ons as required. Compares evaluation to previous evaluations as necessary. Interprets the findings of each exam and is able to accurately report the findings in a preliminary report format in a timely manner upon completion of the study. Ensures that all referring providers are notified with findings for all same day emergent add-ons; notifies the referring provider with all emergent findings on all patients.

    Required qualifications for this position include:

    H.S. Diploma or GED

    Coursework/Training Completion of an accredited allied health education program for vascular ultrasound.

    Coursework/Training Must document at least 15 hours of echocardiography related continuing education over a period of three (3) years. At least one hour of the 15 CME should be relative to work related musculoskeletal disorders (MSD).

    Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

    Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required.

    Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers required at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network (MTN).


    Base Salary - $81,200 to $120,000
