System Director of Quality - Iowa
We are looking for a permanent System Director of Quality leader to join a health system in Iowa. This is a system position over multiple hospitals and clinics.
This system has earned more national recognition for quality patient outcomes than any other hospital in the region. The medical center has earned multiple honors for its leadership and excellence in several clinical areas including cardiac care, orthopedic services, vascular surgery, stroke care and cancer care.
Position Description
Is administratively responsible for the integration of all components involved in organizational and medical staff quality of care, safety, measurement, informatics and performance improvement. Provides leadership and direction to the organization's programs for Healthcare Informatics, Quality & Outcomes Management, Decision Support Analysis, Infection Prevention, Risk Management and Patient Safety. Will have oversight of The Joint Commission and state/federal accreditation's ensuring compliance with all requirements and standards.

Position reports to the Vice President who has been with the system for over 15 years.
Recently had their last survey and it went great
Great team, works well together, very collaborative.
Good quality nurses.
Be the lead on JCAHO
Medical staff is good.
Must have strong experience in accreditation. Ready for the surveys. Write plan of corrections.
Take over their grievance program.
The quality team is great and very dedicate.
Position Requirements
- Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing or related field required.
- Requires a minimum of five to seven years of related clinical/patient care experience with a minimum of three to five years of previous management experience in the area of quality management, project management, patient safety, performance improvement and healthcare informatics, and in the Joint Commission survey preparation.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in program development and implementation
- Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of Quality Improvement/Process Improvement concepts with knowledge of clinical and administrative issues currently affecting the health care industry.
