Qualifications must haves
Three (3) years of Laboratory experience in a hospital setting (required)
Valid ASCP Certification
Two (2) years of supervisory experience
Bachelor of Science in related field

Job Description

Job Responsibilities
Manages departmental operations and personnel.
Possess the knowledge to ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards including aligned departmental policies and procedures.
Coordinate laboratory quality control, proficiency testing, and inventory programs
Develops and maintains competencies through continuing education.
Motivated to achieve the financial and operational objectives of the hospital.
Exemplify leadership ability to work with others through effective verbal and written communication.
Proven critical thinking skills utilizing logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problem-solving.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor of Science in related field
Work Experience
Three (3) years of Laboratory experience in a hospital setting
Two (2) years of supervisory experience
Experienced facilitator and collaborator with multiple administrators, department directors, and C-suite executives.
Knowledgeable regarding laws, certifications, and regulations related to Laboratory Services
Required License/Certification
ASCP
BLS from the American Heart Association
ACLS and PALS *within 90 days of hire
