    Compensation Details (Salary, Sign-on, Relo Asst. Shift diff, benefits, etc.):

    $111-  $ 160K   with a 15% on target bonus that can be doubled to 30% based on performance, no sign-on, relocation assistance provided, benefits – summary attached,

    Ambulatory Surgical Center - Primary specialties are GI, Ortho, ENT, and Pain

    Reports to VPO,  6 ORs and 3 Procedure rooms, 500 Cases/Month


    This position oversees all of operations for a standalone surgery center. As Administrator, you will create an environment that builds the center's reputation as a surgery center of choice in your area.  You will accomplish this, in part, by being part of business development efforts, maintaining a high standard of service to physicians and patients, and ensuring your center has exceptional clinical practice standards.  This is a very high potential center that is poised for success.  We need a leader that knows how to create and maintain a successful culture.


    Job Responsibilities

    Build on your surgery center's reputation with physicians, patients, third party payors, and the community maximizing physician satisfaction as well as driving the growth of the center. Facilitate positive effective working relationships with your center’s Governing Body, Medical Director, and Medical staff.  Work closely with your Business Office to institute budget controls, monitor accounts receivables and payables, prepare and project annual budgets. Leverage your internal corporate support teams and hospital resources. (Regional Business Office, Central Business Office, Legal, Clinical Quality, Risk Management, Business Development, Partnership Management, Credentialing, HR, Compensation, Accounting, Finance, etc.)  Oversee and build your team maximizing performance and employee engagement.  Participate in professional and community organizations to promote better public relations contributing to the growth of the center. Negotiate and execute center contracts. Expected to be a subject matter expert for AAAHC survey processes.


    Education:  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Nursing or related field.  Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement



    • Minimum (3) years direct experience or related experience
    • Experience in outpatient healthcare operations or similar service environments, preferred
    • Must have overseen surgery center operations or have been in a Leadership role (Director) in a hospital overseeing the OR
    • Must be a strong leader, must be able to manage physician relations in a positive manner
    • Must have an excellent command of managing P&L and financial operations
    • Must be able to navigate equity partnerships
    • Form relationships to maximize block utilization, form relationships to increase the number of physicians that use the center to perform surgery and become partners
    • Manage productivity
    • Control supply costs
    • Manage a clinical team and front office staff, ensure that the center is ready for facility audits
    • Promote employee engagement, physician satisfaction, and patient satisfaction
