Job Description/Summary:
Under general direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Director of Pharmacy is accountable for administrative/management, operational, and clinical activities at client Children’s Hospital. This responsibility will encompass all aspects of operations, budgeting, planning, organization, staffing, and evaluation, as well as the supervision of significant number of staff and clinical pharmacists.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D) or equivalent training required.
Post graduate training In Pharmacy Practice or Hospital Administration, or equivalent experience required.
Additional advanced degrees (i.e., M.B.A., MPH, or MHA) preferred.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum of seven years of experience as a licensed pharmacist in a Medical Center/Hospital Pharmacy.
Minimum of five years management experience or demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills in a Medical Center pharmacy or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Management experience as a director or assistant director level
License Required: Registered Pharmacist in the State of California
Compounding experience and knowledge in USP 797 and USP 800 regulations.
Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D) or equivalent training required
