We are seeking candidates for a NURSING MANAGER - EMERGENCY – opportunity in Victorville area of CA (1.5 hour from Los Angeles).
Our client hospital is an acute care hospital with 213 beds and over 1,750 employees making it one of the region's largest employers serving communities of the High Desert. The facility was constructed in 1956 and joined the hospital Health System in 1992.
Base Salary - USD $117,353 to $201,739
Provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for planning, directing, and managing the patient care delivered to a designated population. Oversees the 24-hour operation of the patient care department with accountability for leadership, budget preparation and overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, organizing, and controlling in collaboration with department director. Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient's care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Coursework/Training General RN competency within 30 days of hire.
Coursework/Training Unit Specific competency within 90 days of hire.
Emergency, 701000-K01: Unit Specific competency within 30 days of hire.
3 years’ Experience in an acute hospital environment.
2 years’ Experience in a related specialty unit.
Current California Registered Nurse.
Current BLS for Healthcare Provider.
ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
PALS (Pediatric Life Support) Certification.
Preferred Position Qualifications:
Experience: 2 years Management experience.
Licenses/Certifications: Specialty certification.
