NURSE MANAGER - WOMEN'S HEALTH *$20,000 SIGN ON BONUS*
Nurse Manager - Womens Health (Full Time/Day Shift)
We are seeking a Nurse Manager - Women's Health who will be accountable for the delivery of high quality nursing care and for the administrative management of multiple nursing units and/or FTE's over 80 on a 24 hour basis. Fulfill all duties and responsibilities associated with the unit manager position. Demonstrate proficiency in delivering care to assigned age specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics), and participate in related continuing education.

Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement process, safety, environmental and infection control standards
Prepare budget and adheres to budgetary standards
Demonstrate clinical expertise in the execution of the Nursing process and directs staff in its application
Select, train/orient, assign department staff, evaluate performance, and make recommendations for personnel actions
Ensure that nursing standards and practices are developed and met
Demonstrate proactive leadership skills of delegation, organization, and coordination in running assigned unit; delegates these responsibilities as appropriate
Portray and promote effective communication on the nursing unit with staff, physicians, patients/families/significant others, and other departments
Establish and implement unit goals and objectives in keeping with department and hospital goals and mission. Act as liaison between Administration and the Medical staff
Promote a safe environment that allows for the delivery of high quality patient care
Identify needs, plan independently and in conjunction with others for the clinical and leadership development of staff
Plan for appropriate and safe staffing levels
Protect patient confidentiality by promoting professional staff communications
Supervise, institute, and evaluate nursing interventions
Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops
Provide nursing supervisory coverage for day/evening shift on assigned day
Attend administrative meetings and actively participate on task forces and committees
Maintain departmental reports and record and collect statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes
Qualifications
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree or Bachelor's in progress
American Heart Association BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
ACLS required for employees in ICU, Emergency Dept., 2T, PACU, GI Lab, Breast Center
PALS required within 180 days of hire for employees in Emergency Dept., PARC, PACU.
NNR required for employees in L&D, NICU, Nursery, Postpartum
California Licensed Registered Nurse
3 years recent clinical experience
COMPENSATION
Base Salary - USD $125,000 to $180,000
