    2-year Associates Degree in Nursing Needed

    Some supervisory experience needed as a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, etc.

    Med Surg nursing experience

    Salary - $90 to $117K

    $5000 sign on bonus

    Job Description:

    Provides direction and leadership for care delivery in the Medical Surgical Unit, has 24 hour accountability. Plans and implements nursing budgets, monitors nursing productivity reports and collaborates with other leaders to facilitate favorable financial performance. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory standards and evidence based practices for Med Surg scope of care, and ensures compliance. Supervises staff in the respective unit and plays an integral role in departmental operations, including but not limited to; recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, promoting, discharging, assigning work, evaluating, rewarding, and disciplining. Actively supports and participates in shared governance.  Assist staff in the respective clinical area as needed. Also assists with the Progressive Cardiac Unit.


    Job Details:

    Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required

    Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) or related field  preferred

    Minimum of 5 years experience in nursing practice

    Previous leadership experience in the inpatient setting is required

    Proficiency in clinical decision making and critical thinking skills

    Proficiency in computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel) preferred

    Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills

    Prefer recent acute care floor nursing experience

    Ortho, cardiac care or surgical experience preferred

    Scheduled hours: exempt position, day shift with accountability on other shifts
