Providence is calling an Associate RN Manager - Emergency Services (1.0 FTE, Evening) to Providence Saint Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR
The Associate RN Manager will work Monday - Friday! NO WEEKENDS! The position is 8 hour shifts and are evening hours.
We are seeking an Associate RN Manager - Emergency Services who will be accountable for the provision and quality of nursing services at the facility - department level for a defined department(s), in support of Providence Health & Services System and Regional goals. This includes strategically ensuring a balance of optimal and efficient patient care; staff, patient, and physician satisfaction; and cooperative partnerships with other organizational departments and professional groups. With a constant focus on patient-centeredness and staff and patient safety, the Associate Nurse Manager creates and maintains standards and systems for care delivery for their department(s).

What are the 3-4 non-negotiable requirements of this position?
They must have at least 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience within the last 2 years
They must have at least 6 years of RN experience
They must have their Bachelor of Science in Nursing
They must have some leadership: Hospital Committee Membership, Relief Charge Nurse, Core Charge Nurse, Nurse Management. Not a specific amount of it, just most have some of it.

This is a great role for an experienced RN to get into a true management role. This Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the State of Oregon. And the largest staffed Emergency Department in Providence for Oregon.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Current Oregon RN License
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
Preferred qualifications for this position includes:
Master's Degree in Nursing -OR- in related field
Six (6) years In nursing with experience in progressive leadership roles
National Certification from ANA or Professional Organization in relevant field of clinical expertise strongly recommended
