    We are seeking candidates for a day shift NURSE MANAGER - MEDICAL ICU AND GENERAL MEDICINE – opportunity in Lubbock TX region.


    Base Salary - USD $86,800 to $149,000

    Job Summary:

    Plans, supervises, and evaluates the delivery of nursing care, the performance of assigned staff, and unit management 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, for designated clinical area(s).  Works closely with the Director of Nursing to ensure continuity of care across the continuum.  Minimal supervision required.

    Essential Functions:

    Responsible for all identified outcome measures as denoted on Performance Assessment.

    Demonstrates knowledge, judgment and organizational abilities to meet the needs of patients served.

    Sets expectations, develops plans, and manages the process to assess, improve, and maintain the  quality of the organization's governance, management, clinical, and support activities.

    Assumes responsibility for determining staff competency through on-going evaluation of performance.

    Maintains a responsible attitude toward appropriate and efficient management within the department.

    Assures that patient care services are appropriately integrated throughout the organization.

    Facilitates staff attendance at meetings.

    Supports and monitors an appropriate and efficient cost containment program.

    Maintains a committed and cooperative attitude with all departments in the organization.

    Meets all expectations of RN Staff position description.

    Responsible for providing facilitation, information-sharing, and mentorship of unit council and facilitates staff participation in Shared Governance activities of the organization.

    Minimum Position Qualifications:


    Candidates must meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the State of Texas


    3 years of Professional nursing experience.

    2 years of Clinical experience in specific clinical area.



    Current license to practice professional nursing from the Texas State Board of Nurse Examiners or an approved compact state as a Registered Nurse.

    BLS (AHA) certification upon hire

    ACLS within 1 year

    Preferred Position Qualifications:



    Supervisory/leadership experience.



    Ideal candidate will have a Masters Degree in Nursing along with a specialty certification. They would also have3-5 years of leadership experience.
