NURSE EDUCATOR- EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
The Nurse Educator (Clinical Practice & Education Specialist) will support the Emergency Department and Observation units at Northwest Hospital, part of Life Bridge Health. The ER-7 is a 49-bed unit that sees over 60,000 patients per year. The Observation unit is 20-beds, short-term stay at 24 hours or less. The Nurse Educator monitors and evaluates clinical practice trends and patient outcomes. Coordinates performance improvement activities to promote excellent patient care and outcomes. Develops ongoing education program for staff based on results of quality improvement data, risk reduction strategies/patient safety initiatives and evidence based practice.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required
Maryland Registered Nurse (RN).
5-7 years of relevant experience.
American Heart Association CPR (BLS). ACLS may be required for critical care areas.
