We are conducting an executive search for a Family Practice/Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for a rural area health clinic in Salina Area of CA.
I would appreciate the chance to network with you to determine if this would be a position of interest for you or possibly a colleague.
This rural health clinic needing a NP or PA Peds focus to help with the overflow of peds cases that they have been seeing since the pandemic. Will report directly to the Medical Director and the Pediatrician. They serve a large population of underserved patients, a lot of walk ins. Hours they are open M-F 8-6pm. This need is urgent since their locum coverage is expiring 9/26.
They will consider a 3-6 month interim or permanent candidate.
Will this position be covering all pediatrics only? No - it will be fam practice as well. They could see walk-ins as well as ped cases/physicals.
Do you want a Pediatric certified NP? No- prefer family practice who has experience or feels confident working with peds cases, but not limited to peds cases.
Would you consider a Family NP who wants a focus on Peds? Yes
Could you hire a newer practitioner? A new grad, or someone with less than two years in practice? Yes
You mentioned the hours are M-F, 8-6, which is 10 hours/day and 50 hours/week. That is hours of operation, not shifts. Shifts are M-F 8-5 pm or 9-6 pm.
What will they be expected to work? 40 hours a week. Shift may vary
Would a four day/week schedule work for this position? We would consider M ,T, Th, F (4) 10's schedule if they wanted a Wednesday off.
