Description
We are seeking candidates for a Director of Surgical and rehab nursing for a 355-bed acute care hospital located in a short drive from Charlotte NC.
Reports to Chief Nursing Officer
Salary range $107,235.00 to $135,220.00
Qualifications must-Haves
Current NC RN licensure.
Minimum of three years’ experience as a staff RN.
Minimum 1 years management experience preferred.
Nice-To-Haves
BSN is preferred
Minimum 1 years management experience preferred.
Master's Degree highly preferred
Job Description
Job Summary: Directs the department's activities and resources to achieve departmental and organizational objectives. Provide clinical leadership, strategic and long term goals for the nursing staff. Determine, assign and assess performance objectives for the department. Organize, coordinate, develop and review policies, procedures and nursing protocols to meet all regulatory, compliance and quality care standards.
Responsible for the quality of care, operational and financial efficiency of the unit. Lead and develop the nursing staff within the unit, providing performance goals, feedback and development opportunities. Develop and oversee function/departmental budget and reporting. Direct and conduct recruitment, hiring and training of personnel. Chair committees as assigned.
Provide direct care as needed. Role assumes 24/7 responsibility of Director’s assigned areas.
Responsibilities:
- Active and current Registered Nurse license in the state of North Carolina.
- Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership ability and hospital operational ability.
- Ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
