Our client, a small 100+ bed hospital located about 45 mins outside of Durham, NC, has a need for experienced Director of SNF to join their team.
The Director of Nursing is directly accountable for all patient care activities performed within the facility on a 24-hour basis. Provides direction, supervision and evaluation of all patient care. Organizes and implements management systems, facility policies, procedures, and programs. Coordinates Nursing Service activities with facility administration, community agencies, physician, families, consultant personnel, and ancillary service personnel. Assumes responsibility for nursing service compliance to federal, state, and local regulations. Performs other work of the department and is responsible for assigned sections on a 24 hours basis.
- Associates Degree in Nursing
- 2-3 years of professional nursing experience, 1 year of supervisory experience required
- Long term care experience required
- Ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to the unique needs of long-term care patients and families
- North Carolina or compact state RN License
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations in Long term care setting preferred
