    Our client, a midsized hospital located near Asheville, NC, has a need for a Director or Progressive Care Unit to join their team.  The Director will oversee a 22 bed progressive care unit.

    You will direct, lead, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team to ensure the provision of clinically competent, efficient, coordinated, and compassionate care to patients.

    • Oversee all facets of human resource management for the department (interviewing, onboarding, evaluation, development plans, corrective action, etc.) and ensure that all applicable hospital policies and procedures are effectively managed.
    • Provide development opportunities for direct reports.
    • Provide oversight and direction in establishing and maintaining a system for measuring the effectiveness and efficiencies of activities in area of responsibility.
    • Create an environment that supports the advancement of professional nursing and the development of a dedicated team to insure the ability of the organization to meet future needs.
    • Standardize, develop, and ensure the appropriate translation of evidence-based practice into daily practice for the department. Lead initiatives within department which advance nursing resulting in improved patient-care outcomes through the implementation of evidence-based practice and collaborative practice.
    • Maintain compliance with all relevant legislative and regulatory rules and requirements established by state and federal agencies as well as those of voluntary accrediting bodies to ensure continued compliance.
    • Serves on a variety of committees, and project teams.



    • Bachelor's in nursing; Master’s Preferred
    • Minimum 2 years' leadership experience, manager level or above; prefer  5 years management experience
    • Minimum 3 years' experience as staff nurse on a telemetry or critical care unit.
    • BLS and ACLS certifications.
    • PCCN certification preferred or achieve within 1 year of employment.
    • RN License in NC or multistate license.

    Salary range is $95000—120000 plus up to a 10% bonus potential and relocation assistance.  Sign on bonus is negotiable.
