This opportunity Reports To Chief Nursing Officer

 

 

Salary range $111,300.00 to $136,593.00

$10,000 Sign on bonus paid over 2 years: Relocation eligible $5000

Relocation Package

 

Qualifications must-Haves

Bachelor's Degree from recognized college or university required (BSN preferred

BLS is required

Current NC RN licensure.

Minimum 5 years RN experience

 

Nice-To-Haves

Master's Degree highly preferred.

ACLS is preferred

Minimum 2 years management experience preferred.

 

Job Summary

The Director of Post-Surgical Services supports the Post-Surgical Unit and the Neuroscience Unit. The Director reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. The Director is accountable for high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.

 

 

This leader will assume 24/7 responsibility for assisting in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating nursing practice on each unit. The Director will supervise and evaluate work activities of all nursing personnel and provide clinical leadership and set strategic and long-term goals for the nursing staff. The Director will assess performance objectives for each nursing unit and organize, coordinate, develop and review policies, procedures and nursing protocols to meet all regulatory, compliance and quality care standards. The Director is responsible for the quality of care, operational and financial efficiency (budgeting) of the nursing unit along with the patient experience. The Director will lead and professionally develop the nursing staff within the unit, providing performance goals, feedback and development opportunities. In addition, the Director is responsible for recruitment, hiring and training of personnel and will chair committees as assigned. Provides direct care as needed.

 

 

 

Role assumes 24/7 responsibility for the Director’s assigned areas. Responsibilities:

 

  • Active and current Registered Nurse license in the state of North Carolina.

 

  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills.

 

  • Proven leadership ability and hospital operational ability.

 

  • Ability to serve as role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
