Description
We are seeking candidates for a Director of Pharmacy Opportunity with a large acute care hospital located in Houston TX.
SALARY MAXIMUM to $200,000.00 Plus 20% Bonus
The last director has accepted an opportunity elsewhere in the system. The pharmacy structure is going to be changing a bit. Currently there are 56 Direct reports and just over 300 total FTEs for this large level I trauma center and teaching hospital. This position reports to the VP of Operations and will eventually only have clinical specialists and leaders reporting.
20% target bonus is on top of base pay.
RELOCATION PACKAGE
Qualification must have Must-Haves
Doctorate degree in Pharmacy; Texas License in Pharmacy; leader wants a master’s degree
Experience in a large healthcare organization
Experience in an academic medical center (teaching hospital); preferred level I or II trauma
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Director of Pharmacy of a large healthcare organization.
Experience with strategic planning, quality improvement and cost savings initiatives.
Nice-To-Haves
Experience with inpatient and outpatient pharmacies
Adult and pediatric patient populations is a big plus
This individual will provide pharmacy services oversight of Adult, Children's, Heart and Vascular, Cancer Center Infusion Center and various outpatient pharmacy services. Related experience in an academic medical center high desired.
Completion of ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency or fellowship or demonstration of equivalent experience preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
Licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
Five (5) years of experience in a hospital pharmacy.
Ability to solve problems, establish trust and credibility and deal effectively with change.
