Our client consists of two acute-care hospitals: Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar, CA and Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta, CA.
Inland Valley Medical Center
This campus of Southwest Healthcare System, a 122-bed acute care hospital, was recently awarded in the Fall of 2018 with an “A” Grade from the Leapfrog Group as having the highest level of patient safety as well as the Top General Hospital Award from Leapfrog (one of only 35 hospitals to earn this distinction nationwide). Inland Valley is the only hospital in the region to offer Level II Trauma Services, an Advanced Certified Primary Stroke Center, the region’s only Total Joint Center now with advanced certification from the Joint Commission for hip and knee surgery as well core certification for shoulder surgery and is a nationally recognized center for weight-loss surgery by the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (Also awarded the Blue Distinction for outstanding bariatric surgical services).

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
The Director of Perioperative services assesses, plans, implements and evaluates delivery of patient care with 24 hour responsibility for total management of the Perioperative Services Department. Provides administrative direction for development and evaluation of all nursing personnel, and maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services. Contributes to nursing and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational and research efforts. Accountable to assure that HCAPS, patient, employee, and physicians satisfaction scores are all in acceptable ranges. Accountable for building and directing teams to improve core measures and other Joint Commission initiatives. Has ongoing dialogue with nurses both one on one and in monthly staff and clinical unit. Is proactive in identifying needs of staff and resolves issues to improve patient care and supports nursing leadership direction. Is a positive reactor assuring new initiatives and practices are followed consistently without bias.
Experience/Specialized Skills: Nursing management experience required. Excellent communication, problem-solving and planning skills. Ability to work well as part of a leadership team.
Ability to work with all levels of the organization effectively to achieve outcomes, direct others and negotiate for desired results.
Knowledge and skill in professional nursing theory and practice, including physiological principles involved in the care of surgical and critical patients, principles of teaching and learning, research quality assurance.

- Five (5) to Seven (7) years of clinical experience in a Perioperative setting as a Registered Nurse required.
- Minimum 3 years acute care nursing leadership experience a Perioperative setting required.
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field required.
- Master's degree from an accredited College or University in related field preferred.
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association.
Advanced National Certification (CNOR) required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University in related field required.

Base Salary - $136,739 to $200,000
