Our client, small rural hospital in Western CO, has a need for an experienced Director of Clinical Education to join their team. The Director will be working with ALL departments in the hospital, not just nursing, and collaborating with the Directors and Managers on training, education needs, etc. They are looking for 3-5 years of clinical experience. A Bachelor’s Degree is required and a RN is required.
Collaborates with clinical directors and staff to identify learning and educational needs organization-wide. Assists the department directors to identify, research, develop and implement an annual department specific education plan based on competency assessment, regulatory requirements and department needs and goals. Collaborates with clinical directors to coordinate new hire clinical orientation and competency verification. Manages and is administrator for online learning management systems in partnership with Human Resources. Responsible for assessment, design, implementation and evaluation of American Heart Association and educational programs for employees and community. This includes, but is not limited to: oversite of budget and revenue, adherence to current standards, procurement and maintenance of equipment and administration of platforms for communication and course sign up and may serve as primary instructor or arranges for course instructors. Will have an active role in promoting continuing education and professional development for all staff and will take an active part in healthcare-education aspects of community relations.
Education: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or closely related health field preferred upon hire, required within 24 months. Masters preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years related experience required in a clinical or clinical education setting. Microsoft office experience. Must be able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Ability to give formal and informal presentations, occasionally in front of large groups.
Licenses/Certification: Certifications/Licenses: RN License current in the state of Colorado or compact state. Current BLS certification. ACLS, PALS or ENPC, NRP preferred. BLS and Heartsaver Instructor. ACLS and PALS Instructor within first year of hire.

Salary range is $36.41—47.34/hr plus up to $5000 in relocation assistance with a 2 yr commitment plus transitional housing available.
