    Director of Case Management-Full Time-Austin, TX           $20K Sign On/First Check          

    Shift: Full Time (7-10 Hours)

    Our client is a 350-bed acute care HCA Healthcare hospital located in central Austin, Texas. Along with 64-bed rehabilitation facility, the Medical Center offers a 24-hour emergency department, cardiovascular services, a Primary Stroke Center, and a Certified Chest Pain Center.

To receive this award, the organization must have a system that ensures continuous improvement in overall performance in delivering products and/or services, while also providing an approach for satisfying and responding to customers and stakeholders.

     

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for the facilitation and coordination of hospital activities related to concurrent review, including length of stay certifications, monitoring and response to issues and trends affecting reimbursement; monitoring and data collection for physician utilization, quality and peer review; the facilitation and prioritization of patient discharge planning needs, including equipment and supportive services, alternate care facility placement, resource analysis and planning.

    • You will assure facilitation and coordination of physician discharge orders and identified patient needs.
    • You will support case management/physician performance improvement interface.
    • Promotes interface with managed care entities, outside agencies and other system facilities to assure effective communication and cooperation.
    • Promotes quality improvement and continual staff development.
    • Provides oversight and direction of department operations.

     

    Education:

    • Registered Nurse
    • Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree (preferred)

     

    Experience:

    • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience within acute care setting, encompassing both direct care and managerial responsibilities.
    • Knowledge of utilization review process, case management philosophy, process and models, principles and terminology of managed care.

     

    Additional Information:

    • FTE: 2- Manager & Team Lead (Social Work)
    • BS minimum
    • Need to have managed nurses and clinical social workers
    • Acute care experience desired

    General Comments

    Salary Range: $69.41-$83.29 (Based on years of experience)

    Sign on Bonus: UpTo $20K
