    Salary range $100,000.00 to $125,000.00

    SIGNING BONUS

    Negotiable

    Must-Haves

    Current New Mexico or compact Nursing license required.

    Five years of mental health experience with at least two years’ experience in a leadership role.

    Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

    Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred.

     

    Nice-To-Haves

    Working knowledge of Behavioral Healthcare codes in NM.

    Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred.

    Ability to navigate the behavioral health system.

     

    Job Description

    Behavioral Health Director is responsible for directing all aspects of inpatient psychiatric operations, including managing and mentoring staff, developing, and enforcing policies and procedures, preparing, and maintaining accreditation and accountability for the department’s budget and productivity. This position supports psychiatric care throughout the facility.

     

    Minimum Education:  Must possess a bachelor’s degree in Nursing.  Advanced degree in Business, Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.

     

    Minimum Experience:  Five years of mental health experience with at least two years’ experience in a leadership role.  Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred.  Previous leadership, program development, budget and productivity, and clinical experience required. Must possess strong human relations and interpersonal skills.

     

    Licensure:  Current New Mexico Nursing License or compact license required.

     

    This is a full-time exempt position.

     

    This hospital is an Acute Care 199-bed medical/surgical teaching hospital located in sunny southern, New Mexico with a population of 110,000 and a service area population of 300,000.
